Featured Spirits of the Week

Ungava, Canadian Premium Gin, $26.29/750ml- Tasting Notes

COLOUR: The vibrant colour comes from the post-distillation maceration of the rare botanicals, in particular, the wild rose hips and cloudberry. NOSE: The Nordic juniper expresses its citrusy character with verve. MOUTH: It reveals a style that is both lively and smooth, fresh and floral. It displays the fruity and lightly acidic notes of crowberry and wild rose hips. Labrador tea adds velvety smoothness to give length to the harmonious mix. (Source)

Libelula, Joven Tequila, Mexico, $26.29/1000ml- A blend of 80% Blanco and 20% reposado this tequila is different than your typical blanco, reposado, or añejo, Libélula is a “joven” which means it is a blend. The blanco contains the pure flavors of the agave, with citrus and grassy aromas, but the oak aged reposado adds spice and richness. Rather than using just a short aged reposado that has some spice, but very light, and keeps most of the agave purity, bust loses some, we opted to take perfect final products of blanco and reposado and balance them to make an incredible mixing tequila. (Source)

New Riff, Single Barrel Rye, Kentucky, $63.09/750ml- While each Single Barrel owns its specific flavor profile, New Riff Rye generally shows quite intense and focused spicy flavors. This is not a light, delicate, simple whiskey—we have crafted for robust and fulsome flavor from start to finish. Our unfiltered bottling regimen allows all the character of the barrel to shine through in the glass.

Appearance: Extra rich, unfiltered deep amber color.

Nose: Well balanced between nougat confection and rye-derived spices such as black pepper, clove, grains of paradise and pink peppercorns.

Taste: Broad, fulsome mouthfeel, a sweet-spicy-savory interplay developing into floral rose and red fruit notes.

Finish: Fine length and detail, showing potent rye spices which last and last.

Then in 2012, in commemoration of its 10th anniversary, we introduced a new beer that would grow to be known as Stone RuinTen Triple IPA. Now, we’re bringing that back in all its over-the-top, cranked-to-11, maximum hoppy splendor, using every brewing technique in our arsenal to squeeze every last bit of magic out of a truly staggering amount of hops. It’s been 18 years of beautifully bitter evolution, and this stage dive into a mosh pit of hops is bigger and bitter-er than ever. Don’t call it a comeback. (Source)
