An update on how we are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic

In a continuing effort to do our part to help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, starting today, Monday, March 23, we will be closing Siciliano’s Market each day at 8:00 pm.

The last few weeks have been a delicate balancing act for our management team. We want to be here for our loyal clientele, many folks currently have a preponderance of free time and are hunkering down at home making wine and brewing beer, but we also need to be cognizant of the potential impact that “being here” might have for our customers and staff.

In the meantime, we’ll be continuing the measures that we have implemented to keep our customers and employees safe. The staff is sanitizing frequently touched objects (door handles, counter tops, pens, grain scoops etc.), employees have been instructed not to come to work if they experience flu like symptoms and we have installed a hand sanitizing dispenser for customer use at the sales counter.

I would like to remind everyone that if you would prefer to place an order on the phone (616-453-9674) and have us bring your purchase to your vehicle we would be happy to do so. Please do not email orders as there is a chance that they could be missed. Also, please keep in mind that filling some phone orders may be time consuming. We will take your phone number and we will notify you when the purchase is ready for pickup. Please call us when you arrive. We will ask you to identify your vehicle and if you are purchasing alcohol, we may ask for your ID. We will then run your credit card and place your purchase in your vehicle.

We’re monitoring the situation closely, and while we’re hoping to remain open to serve our loyal clientele, we recognize that reducing hours further and implementing other preventative measures are distinct possibilities.
