Siciliano's Market to suspend operations for one day next week in final preparations for the change in ownership

The store will be closed on Tuesday, May 31 in final preparations for the transfer to the new owners

“Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, and unsurprised by anything in between.”

Preamble by Steve Siciliano

It's been a bit stressful for Barb and I of late but we've been able to successfully navigate most of the road bumps that inevitably arise when selling a state licensed business and as of this writing we are on track to close on the sale next Wednesday. New owners Dan and Tiffany Sipka are itching to take over and Barb and I have our gear prepped for a summer of fly fishing action.

In order to facilitate the transfer, the store will be closed on Tuesday, May 31 with operations resuming the next day at 8 a.m. under the new ownership.

Unfortunately things don't always go as planned and it appears that the transfer of the tobacco license is going to be somewhat delayed. Until Dan and Tiff are issued their license they will not be allowed to sell pipe tobacco, cigarette rolling tobacco and a majority of the premium cigars. In the meantime, there will be a small selection of premium cigars sourced from an in-state wholesaler that will be available for purchase.

Since this is the last newsletter that I'll be penning as the owner of Siciliano's Market, Barb and I would like to take this opportunity to express our heart felt appreciation to all our loyal customers who have patronized our little mom and pop shop over the last thirty years. We can't wait to see the much needed face lift that the store will be receiving in the upcoming months.
