Siciliano's Single Barrel Pick- Long Road Distillery's Beer City Whisky

Preamble by Dan Sipka

If you have been in the Market lately you should have seen our latest Single Barrel Pick! Beer City Whisky is a collaboration between Long Road Distilling and Brewery Vivant. Distilled from Vivant’s Big Red Coq beer, this whisky is one of the most unique picks we’ve ever tasted. Siciliano’s is lucky to be the only store carrying this Unicorn of Whisky! It is a plus that the collaboration was between local businesses. The barrel was also made by Croze Nest Cooperage which is in Grand Rapids and owned by our friend, Joe Smith.

The nose starts with herbal and cedar notes, followed by cereal grains, eucalyptus and hints of lemon meringue. The rich flavor is full of oats, candied orange peel, cherry and butterscotch and finishes with allspice, anise, vanilla and cinnamon. It is perfect over an ice cube or two. Stop in and get it for $69.99 while supplies last!

Customer Appreciation Week is also coming up, Monday, September, 5th through Sunday September, 11th. We’ve already started taking pre-orders for winexpert kits, so call the store to place your order and get in on the discounts! You can also email orders to me (dan@sicilianosmkt.com) by Sunday, August 28th, and we will have the kits set aside for you. Check out the updated inventory and pricing on the wine kits and let me know if you have any questions.

During the week-long sale, most equipment, supplies and ingredients will be 15% off the everyday retail price. Items that are already discounted (carboys, 50/55-lb. bags of grain, Blichmann Engineering products) will not be eligible for additional discounts, nor will the 15% be combined with other existing discounts (like club discounts). We will honor the discount that is greater.
